Airborne Systems Celebrates Production of 10,000th T-11

PENNSAUKEN, NJ – Feb. 3, 2011 - Airborne Systems, a leader in the U.S. military parachute marketplace, announces the production of its 10,000th T-11 parachute for the U.S. Army at the company’s Santa Ana facility. Airborne Systems, one of three manufacturers of America’s next generation of non-steerable troop parachutes, has delivered the largest number of parachutes well ahead of schedule.
“In collaboration with the U.S. Army, our engineers have developed a unique and innovative design, resulting in a much safer assault troop parachute,” said JC Berland, Chief Technology Officer for Airborne Systems Group. “The T-11 is more reliable, capable, stable and effective at meeting the needs of the modern soldier on today’s battlefields.”
